Hawaii is not a Nursing Licensure Compact State.
Prescriptive Authority in Hawaii
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners may apply for prescriptive authority for Schedule II-V controlled substances for a $50 Fee. Coursework in pharmacology is required.
Hawaii Nursing Licensure Renewal
License renewal is required through the Hawaii Board of Nursing every two years. Advanced practice registered nurses renew every two years in odd-numbered years. Any national certifications will need to be renewed per the requirements of the national certification company.
